Your assets are working against you

Your generator is a liability, not an asset

It burns fuel 24/7 during outages. You're making emergency fuel runs, it's loud, and you have no idea how much it will cost you in a multi-day event. It produces nothing the rest of the time.

✓ With your power plant, the battery runs your home. The generator only kicks in to recharge. Fuel lasts days, not hours.
☀️

Your solar shuts off when you need it most

By law, it has to. Federal safety rules require your panels to disconnect the instant the grid goes down. You paid for those panels to work during outages, but they sit idle when the power fails.

✓ A Sol-Ark inverter safely keeps your solar running. Your plant produces power from the moment the grid goes down.
💰

You watch Eversource raise rates and have no leverage

Your bill goes up every year. Your solar blunts the damage but doesn't stop it. You don't set the rules, you don't get paid when the grid needs power, and you have no way to push back. The utility writes the deal, you sign it.

✓ Your power plant earns income. Connected Solutions pays you $275/kW per year for 5 years just for being available to help the grid.

A Cape Cod electrician you already trust. The hybrid inverter the country runs on.

APS doesn't show up to your house with a contractor we just met. Every Sol-Ark we install on Cape Cod is wired by an electrical contractor that's been working on this peninsula for over a decade. Every install is permitted, inspected, and warrantied through them. We don't subcontract install to the lowest bidder — the install partner is a fixed part of the offering.

1

We audit what you own

Solar panels, generator, battery. We assess what's already there and what's missing. We design from reality, not from a sales spec sheet.

2

We design your plant

A Sol-Ark inverter connects everything. Battery adds storage and income potential. You get exact components, costs, and projected returns. Nothing hidden.

3

Licensed electricians build it

Osprey Electrical handles all wiring and permits. Usually 1-2 days. Everything inspected and permitted properly.

4

You take control

The app shows you everything: income earned, power flowing, modes switching. You operate your power plant from your phone.

Safety

Zero thermal events. Zero recalls. Zero fires.

🔋 EG4 LFP Batteries

We use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, the safest chemistry available. LFP cells don't experience thermal runaway the way lithium NMC batteries do.

✓ Zero recalls, zero fires reported
✓ UL 9540A certified (thermal runaway test)
✓ Dual fire arrestors + fire suppression built in
✓ 10-year warranty
⚡ Sol-Ark Inverters

Sol-Ark has zero CPSC recalls and zero reported fire incidents. Their inverters are UL 1741 SA listed and designed for safe operation in grid-tied and off-grid modes.

✓ Zero recalls, zero fires reported
✓ UL 1741 SA & IEEE 1547 compliant
✓ Built-in rapid shutdown (NEC 2020)
✓ 10-year warranty

Why this matters: Tesla recalled 10,500 Powerwall 2 units in 2025 for fire risk. LG Chem recalled 10,000+ home batteries (twice) for the same. Both use NMC chemistry. We chose LFP specifically because it eliminates this risk.

The brain of your power plant

What changes when you own your power

💰

You're the utility

Your plant produces power, stores it, and sells it. Connected Solutions pays you $275/kW per year for 5 years. You own the relationship with the grid.

📈

Income from day one

Connected Solutions payments start the moment your system is commissioned. You're earning money while you're paying off the battery through a 0% HEAT Loan.

$275/kW per year for 5 years through Connected Solutions

Three modes, one tap

Earning mode sells excess power during peak hours. Storm mode hardens your home before weather hits. Fortress mode disconnects from the grid entirely. You control all three from your phone.

🕬

Your fuel lasts days, not hours

The battery does the heavy lifting during outages. Your generator only runs when truly needed, not all day and night. Multi-day outages become manageable instead of terrifying.

📱

Remote monitoring and control

The app is your control room. Real-time income, power flows, battery status, mode switching. Few homeowners have this level of visibility and control over their energy. It's the upgrade high-end systems deserve.

💸

Protection that pays for itself

It's not a cost. It's an investment with returns. The battery pays for itself in ~2.5 years via Connected Solutions income. Everything after that is pure gain.

How our pricing works

We're not a traditional contractor that marks everything up 40-50%. Here's the deal: you get a Sol-Ark inverter at our distributor cost (that's where we earn on equipment). Batteries, generators, panels: all at the price we pay, passed through to you. Installation is done by Osprey Electrical at their rates. We design the system and manage the project. You can verify every line item. We think that's how it should work.

*Residential homeowners lost the 30% federal tax credit (Section 25D) as of Jan 1, 2026. However, if adding new solar, a lease or PPA structure lets a financing company claim the 48E credit and pass savings to you as lower payments. Commercial properties get the best deal: 30% ITC + 100% bonus depreciation can cut effective cost by 40-55%. Contact us for commercial pricing. All rates confirmed at time of proposal.

† Connected Solutions earnings and payback claims assume your battery is properly commissioned and dispatches at its full rated capacity during Cape Light Compact summer peak events. Actual year-one earnings can be lower if inverter settings (Time-of-Use caps, self-consumption mode, grid-sell limits) throttle dispatch. We verify and tune these settings as part of every install. Program rates ($275/kW/yr, 5 years) are set by Cape Light Compact and subject to change.

‡ HEAT Loan coverage assumes Cape Cod 5 approves your system components (battery, inverter, installation labor) under the 0% Mass Save HEAT Loan program. Battery storage is explicitly eligible; inverter and labor eligibility is being confirmed and has been assumed in these estimates. If any component is excluded, the covered amount adjusts and the balance is financed separately at market rates. We'll confirm exact coverage in your written proposal.

Equipment pricing reflects current distributor cost to us as of April 2026 and is passed through with no markup. Sol-Ark inverter pricing assumes our qualifying distributor quantity. All estimates are subject to site assessment, final component selection, and written proposal.

Things people ask us

Federal safety rules require your solar inverter to shut off during a grid outage so utility workers don't get shocked by power flowing back into the lines. A Sol-Ark hybrid inverter can safely disconnect from the grid and keep your solar running just for your home. It's the same panels, just a smarter inverter managing them.
Two reasons. First, a battery handles 95% of outages (the brief ones that happen a few times a year) silently and instantly, with no fuel burned. Second, during multi-day outages, the battery carries your house most of the day. Your generator only runs a few hours to recharge the battery, then shuts off. That means no generator noise all day and night, and your fuel supply lasts 3-4x longer than running a generator alone.
Connected Solutions is a demand response program administered by Cape Light Compact (your local power supply aggregator) and Eversource. It pays you for having a battery. During peak demand days (usually hot summer afternoons), your battery discharges a little energy to help reduce grid strain. You earn $275 per kW per year for 5 years. A single-battery system (5 kW) earns ~$1,375/year. Two batteries earn ~$2,750/year. Three earn ~$4,125/year. That revenue, combined with the $500 Eversource rebate and 0% HEAT Loan financing, means the battery portion of your system typically pays for itself in ~2.5 years.
Yes, with one exception. You can order EG4 batteries, generators, and panels directly from the manufacturer. The Sol-Ark inverter is the one thing you'd want to get through us — as an authorized dealer, we get it at a lower price than retail, and we pass that savings to you while earning a fair margin on it. We'll give you the full component list and prices either way, so you can see exactly what everything costs.
Typically 1-2 days of on-site work by Osprey Electrical, our licensed installation partner. If you're adding to an existing solar system (the most common scenario), it's usually a single day. Permitting takes a few weeks beforehand, but we handle all of that.
Yes. The Mass Save HEAT Loan provides 0% interest financing up to $25,000 for battery storage systems, with a term up to 7 years. Cape Cod 5 is a participating lender. Your battery must be enrolled in Connected Solutions to qualify. For a typical system, the monthly HEAT Loan payment is often less than what Connected Solutions pays you — meaning the battery can be cash-flow positive from day one.
